Job Description:
This individual works with all areas of the organization to plan projects, as well as assist in the preparation of project plans by identifying resources, establishing reasonable deadlines, and outlining action steps to be taken. This professional may also directly assist in the development and maintenance of project plans and serve as primary liaison between a project sponsor, project team, advisory group, and the Project Management Office (PMO). This individual will also work with the Project Sponsor to manage project scope and maintain budget integrity. Responsibilities Assist in the planning and development of the project scope and schedule. Understand scope, schedule, planning. Complete assigned tasks and deliverables under limited supervision. Under limited supervision, create and maintain project documentation (reporting, meeting minutes, etc.). Promote teamwork; coach and guide others. Under supervision, develop relationships with project stakeholders. Explain information and persuade others in straightforward situations; escalate issues and status reports to the project manager. This position will assist with the daily finance related activities for the GEAS department. They will include: Preparing, collating and consolidating annual budgets; Analyzing monthly budget to actual reports for the department and researching discrepancies with members of National Finance; Working with portfolio managers to improve efficiencies into client billing and analysis; Training portfolio managers on finance related concepts and topics as needed.Ernst & Young LLP, an equal opportunity employer, values the diversity of our work force and the knowledge of our people.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: To qualify, candidates must have: a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, or equivalent work experience approximately 4-6 years of project management experience Job Requirements - Advanced knowledge of Excel & Word is mandatory. Business Objects is a plus. Accounting or Finance Degree OT required during busy time (Budget period) Good communications skills - interacting with all levels of Management.
