Senior Associate, Operations Risk Management

We are currently seeking a Senior Associate in our Operations Risk Management – Public Sector group to join us in our Atlanta office.KPMG’s Public Sector professionals assist our clients as they work to improve business performance and manage risk. The Operations Risk Management – Public Sector group focuses on the following key services for state and local public sector organizations:

Organizational/programmatic assessments

Business process effectiveness and efficiency reviews

Costing studies identifying “full” cost of provided servicesOperations Risk Management (ORM):As an ORM professional, the focus is on helping organizations find the right balance between risk and controls by directly linking operational process risk back to an organization's objectives. Service offerings are designed to not only help mitigate risk, but to drive performance improvement opportunities and help manage the processes required to realize these benefits.Responsibilities:

Provide high quality professional services for ORM engagements and other advisory projects including business process assessments, operational reviews, and costing studies.

Assist in the management of staff and project teams.

Assist in the review of prepared reports and other client documents.

Maintain results and other documentation in workpapers.

Assist Partners and Managers in the creation of proposals, business development, and practice administration.Qualifications:

BS/BA degree in Public Administration or a Master’s degree in Public Administration from an accredited college/university.

Three years of experience in public administration, advisory services, or related fields.

Proficiency in using computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.

Able to manage competing priorities under tight timeframes.

Able to conduct meetings with various levels of management and third parties in challenging surroundings.

Well established and documented understanding of business dynamics and operations.
