Senior Associate - Federal Tax

KPMG LLP is the audit, tax and advisory firm with the strongest growth record over the past decade. We offer our clients industry insights and a multidisciplinary range of services. We are currently seeking Senior Tax Associates to join us in our Salt Lake City office.
KPMG's Federal Tax Services practice is a resource for clients that need help complying with the latest IRS rules and regulations. Our tax professionals who handle federal tax issues bring the experience and commitment necessary to deliver tax compliance and advisory services to help meet our clients' specific needs.
Responsibilities:

Review and advise clients regarding corporate, partnership, multi-state and consolidation tax issues

Work in, and be part of, a multi-disciplinary team

Stay current on the latest tax practices

Provide industry knowledge and experience

Develop and train less experienced staff

Other relevant duties and responsibilities, as needed

Compile and review tax returns and financial statement tax provisions

Conduct tax research and planning
Job Requirements
Qualifications:

Two years of experience with the following: Federal corporate income tax preparation/review, tax planning provision, and plan presentation

Industry experience including one or more of the following areas: Financial Services, Manufacturing, Retail, Distribution, Information Technology (IT), Communication or Entertainment

Strong skills in reviewing 1120 tax returns and FAS109 tax provisions

Knowledge of IRS codes and corporate tax matters

Strong research and organizational skills

BA/BS degree in Accounting or equivalent from an accredited college/universityKPMG offers and supports flexible work arrangements as well as part-time schedules.
