Senior Associate, Audit

Advisory professionals are also able to provide clients with relevant industry and functional skills where they need them most. We are currently seeking a Senior Associate to join our Financial Risk Management practice in our Tysons Corner office, focused on Structure Finance.KPMG’s Financial Risk Management (FRM) Services professionals help management and boards of directors to identify, measure, and monitor financial and business risks, the relationships between risks and returns, and the control environment over the management and reporting of these risks. In the very complex world of financial instruments, FRM professionals have assisted in valuation approaches; stress testing, model development and risk rating, and measurement approaches to help management leverage the leading practices in risk identification and measurement.Structured Finance professionals specifically provide a comprehensive range of assistance to underwriters and issuers of mortgage-backed and asset backed securities to assist them in their efforts at managing risk and achieving other strategic and financial goals.
Responsibilities:

Review transaction documentation to determine the structure and tax reporting obligations

Set up the transaction in MS Excel or other internal software

Work with various trustees to obtain/validate payment information to be utilized in tax reporting

Maintain and update various files required for monthly and annual tax processing/reporting

Assist with the handling of Investor Requests

Assist with report preparation for clients

Assist with the preparation of income statements, balance sheets and year end tax filings

Use internal proprietary software programs to prepare financial and tax reports
Job Requirements
Qualifications:

Three years of experience in Accounting or Financial Services

Exposure to U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP)

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Ability to use MS Excel at an intermediate to advanced level

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Prior public accounting experience in Audit and/or Tax

Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task

BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics from an accredited college/university

CPA eligible
