Greenberg Traurig is currently seeking a Senior Accounting Operations Manager in its Miami/Doral, FL office.
Responsibilities: The Senior Accounting Operations Manager is responsible for firm-wide accounting functions and will oversee electronic billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and accounting systems in accordance with U.S. generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). This position will manage general ledger activities ensuring adherence to deadlines, quality standards, procedures and regulatory requirements, as well as mentoring and motivating 50+ employees. As a key member of the shared services team, this position will interact with all levels of management and implement short and long term strategic projects to improve controls and effectively monitor the day-to-day accounting operations.
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements: Requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, 10 years accounting experience with min of 5 years in a managerial/supervisory role in a professional services environment, CPA preferred. Candidate must have extensive knowledge of accounting principles; highly effective supervisory skills; shared services environment experience preferred; ability to develop and implement long-term plans and programs; coordinate the efforts of others and apply and adapt practices and techniques to the special requirements of the Firm’s environment. Proficiency with MS Office, strong interpersonal and communication skills, naturally analytical and detail oriented. Able to meet tight schedules and maintain effective relationships across all levels of the organization. This position requires some travel and ability to work remotely on occasion.
