Job Title: Senior Accountant I, Revenue Valuation

work schedule is Monday-Friday.Summary:


The purpose of the position is to provide center level accounting support to ensure department goals and objectives are achieved, in alignment with DaVita’s Mission and Core Values. This includes accounting for center and divisional revenue review, accounts receivable, cash and related transaction analysis, account reconciliation and preparing financial reports for corporate and field operations management, and joint venture partners, as well as internal and external audit agencies.


Qualifications:


1. Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university.


2. Advanced MS Access and MS Excel skills.


3. Intermediate MS Word skills.


4. CPA or CMA preferred; but not required.


5. Must have good organizational skills with attention to detail.


6. Strong communication skills.


7. Must be able to work in a team environment as well as independently.


8. Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.


9. Minimum four years of accounting experience.


10. Working knowledge of accounting functions.

Essential Job Functions:


1. Center and consolidated revenue accounting responsibilities for assigned centers and divisions.


2. General ledger functions such as journal entry preparation, account analysis, and account reconciliation.


3. Prepare and analyze ad hoc and recurring financial data and schedules and related notes for management reporting.


4. Interpret revenue trends and explain fluctuations.


5. Make recommendations to management concerning the accounting treatment of financial transactions.


6. Develop and implement new accounting processes.


7. Prepare communications such as memos, presentation charts, and process documentation, and coordinate with other departments, business offices and field operations.


8. Responsible for training and reviewing the work of other staff accountants, as assigned.


9. Perform a wide variety of recurring and non-recurring moderately complex revenue functions.


10. Other duties as assigned.
