Senior Accountant Corporate Transactions - (Tacoma) -
Job Title: Senior Accountant, Corporate Transactions
Summary:
The purpose of this position is to work within the financial reporting department to ensure department goals and objectives are achieved, in alignment with DaVita’s Mission and Core Values. This includes administering the accounting for business acquisitions, divestitures and joint ventures, coordinating the integration of acquired enterprises into DaVita’s accounting systems and processes, and administering company-wide asset impairment reviews on a quarterly basis.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university with 3-5 years experience either in public accounting or with a publicly traded company.
2. Advanced MS Word and MS Excel skills required.
3. CPA/CMA preferred, in the process of obtaining the license is acceptable.
4. Preferred experience with Oracle, Hyperion, Essebase, or other database accounting systems.
5. Experience with multi-location accounting, consolidating financial statements including eliminations, and a general understanding of GAAP.
6. Must have the ability to problem-solve issues using analytical tools and common sense approaches.
7. Must have good organizational skills with attention to detail.
8. Strong communication skills.
9. Must be able to work in a team environment as well as independently.
10. Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.

Essential Job Functions:
1. Administration of purchase and sale accounting for businesses acquired and sold, including review and interpretation of legal acquisition documents and schedules.
2. Coordination of the integration of acquired businesses into DaVita’s accounting systems and processes.
3. Administration of company-wide quarterly financial reporting asset impairment reviews.
4. Coordination with acquisition and divestitute counterparties regarding settlement of post-transaction accounts cross due.
5. Reconciliation of key general ledger accounts related to acquisitions, impairments, and certain other corporate-level transactions.
6. Assistance to the finance, general accounting, accounts payable, tax, payroll, and other teams regarding previous corporate transactions.
7. Maintenance of Corporate Transactions metrics and tracking schedules.
8. Various ad-hoc analyses, investigative research, and GAAP research as necessary.
9. Administration of computations supporting SEC reporting.
10. Other duties as assigned.
