Senior Accountant

This position will act as the liaison between the accounting groups within Business Services and the business units and will be responsible for various general accounting functions such as fixed asset projects, journal entry preparation, and account reconciliations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Assist with monthly and annual closing procedures. These procedures include preparation of journal entries and population of the Hyperion database with monthly results. Reconciliation of Hyperion database system to general ledger system. Prepare, analyze and coordinate account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts. Present balance sheet information to General Accounting management and Financial Planning personnel. Preparation of audit schedules and responding to auditor requests during quarter-end and year-end audits either by state or federal taxing authorities or internal or external auditors. Preparation and support for various Rockwell reporting requirements and schedules. Provide support for financial system implementations. Provide customer services such as investigating variances, providing detail of departmental charges and advising of financial procedures. Through collaboration and teamwork, continue to leverage company wide resources via further migration of the Shared Services model.
REQUIREMENTS
BS/BA in Accounting.
