SYSTEM STATUS CONTROLLER/ AMBULANCE - EMS (Deployment)

Responsible for interpreting GPS/Automated Vehicle Location information to identify and dispatch the most appropriate resource, including ALS, BLS, First Responders and NET vehicles, for emergency and non-emergency requests for assistance. Deploys/posts available ambulances according to the system status management plan. Tracks be computer and mentally the location, status and condition of each unit at all times. Notifies and communicates response location, patient medical condition and directions to responding ambulance crews through verbal and electronic methods. Handles radio communications in a prompt, accurate, courteous and professional manner.

REQUIREMENTS
H.S. diploma or GED. Two years of prior EMS dispatch experience preferred. Must be able to type 25 word per minute without a mistake. Able to read, write and speak English fluently. Prior use of computer aided dispatch programs preferred. Past use of TriTech VisiCad system desired. EMD certification preferred. EMT or Paramedic certification strongly desired.
