REPORTING TO: Divisional Presidents (2) and CEO of Holding Company
LOCATION: West Palm Beach or Philadelphia

THE COMPANY: The Company is a privately held $30 million plus quality control/quality assurance service provider to industrial clients and municipalities

THE POSITION: Key responsibilities include:
•Leading a team of 4-5 staff members
•Hands-on involvement in the accounting and financial analysis areas, including financial and operational reporting, preparation of revenue and expense budgets and analysis of monthly results against plans, tracking of sales activity, debt compliance, cash forecasting, quarterly forecasting, working capital management, operational metrics, and acquisitions involvement
•Cash management, payroll, insurance, investments, taxes, and participation in financial and contractual transactions
•Building a financial performance management culture within the company that drives operational decision making based on analytics and forecasted results
•Regularly interfacing with the owners and Board of Directors in addition to executive level peer positions in IT, legal and human resources and significant contact with outsiders, most notably bankers, lawyers
•He/She will be a respected change agent capable of challenging the status quo and implementing new policies, procedures and techniques
•This is an operation, action-oriented position and the successful individual will work closely with the CEO and divisional presidents on strategic planning and special projects related to expansion and profitability analysis
REQUIREMENTS
EXPERIENCE MUST BE RECENT – INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE IN CONSULTING OR AN OWNER OF BUSINESS ARE NOT A FIT

BUSINESS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
•10+ years of relevant financial analysis and management experience in manufacturing, contract research or analytical testing
•Extensive experience as a stand-alone finance/accounting officer in a small to mid-size privately held company reporting directly to the CEO is a must
•Several years of audit experience and demonstration of a full understanding of how business decisions effect the company’s financial statements
•Strong cost accounting, financial analysis and strategic planning
•Demonstrated experience with standard and activity based costing

EDUCATION REQUIRED: A Bachelors degree in Business is required. CPA status and an advanced degree in business are both strong pluses.

•The successful candidate will be “solution oriented” and will help to focus executives on problem solving, not just problem identification
•He/She will be a quick study, hands-on, and will possess a strong work ethic prone to “extra-mile” effort and the ability to work long hours when necessary and complete projects on a timely basis
•Must possess effective presentation skills in a “boardroom” environment
