SURGICAL TECHNOLOGIST - Operating Room II

Job Description: The Surgical Technologist is a member of the surgical team who is qualified to assemble supplies, to prepare and maintain the sterile field, to anticipate the needs of the sterile team during a surgical procedure, and to provide a safe, efficient environment for patients ranging from infancy to geriatrics. Responsibilities:
Preoperative planning and preparations for surgical intervention and individualized to meet the needs of each patient and his or her surgeon.
The preparation of the surgical suite to include all supplies and equipment to ensure environmental safety for patients and personnel.
To maintain an aseptic and safe environment.
To apply appropriate sterile technique at all times while caring for a surgical patient.Job Requirements
Requirements:
Graduate from an approved Surgical Technology program; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Current surgical experience preferred.
Has knowledge and understanding of surgical intervention and use of handling of instruments and supplies.
Practices with a good surgical conscience.
Current certification as a Surgical Technician is preferred or current license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Pennsylvania.
One year of experience required.
Full-Time 80 Hrs. Per Pay 7:00 am - 3:30 pm WITH CALL
