SR FINANCIAL ANALYST

FINANCIAL ANALYST SALARY; UP TO 73K + BONUS II. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Research and analyze the financial operations and report these findings. 2. Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements and analysis under four bases of accounting: statutory, United States GAAP, United Kingdom GAAP, and International Accounting Standards. 3. Prepare quarterly and annual statutory findings in accordance with regulatory requirements. 4. Prepare quarterly management report to United States Board of Directors and monthly management report on US operations to United Kingdom Board of Directors. 5. Complete special tasks and projects as assigned. 6. Review, train, and/or prepare quarterly and annual financial statement exhibits and analysis on a statutory and GAAP consolidated basis. 7. Assist with year end reporting. 8. Coordinate employee benefit plan audits, financial statement preparation, and form 5500 filings. Respond to audit and outside actuarial consultant requests. 9. Prepare United Kingdom reporting, including funds held under management reports, subsidiary valuation reports, and monthly scorecards as assigned. 10. Review and/or perform quarterly allocation of corporate expense/services to subsidiaries. 11. Research and analyze competitors in areas including growth, expense management, ratings analyses, and ad hoc requests.
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE BS/BA in accounting or related field CPA required EXPERIENCE 3-5 years accounting experience Public accounting experience preferred Insurance industry accounting experience preferred SKILLS REQUIRED Communication - written & oral Analytical thought process Strong PC skills REPORTS TO Manager, Financial Reporting/ Director, Finance STAFF None
