SR ACCOUNTANT II

Job Description The Senior Accountant II position will be responsible for Fixed Asset Project accounting for Verizon?s software development, including policy compliance with SOP98-1, SFAS 86 and EITF 00-22. This includes the complete life cycle management for software capital projects (internally referred to as AFE?s), which includes capital policy compliance, releasing of PO?s, reviewing SAP project definitions, capital project spending reviews, asset configuration, AUC settlements, and the transfer of assets to in-service status on a timely basis. In addition, the incumbent will support the business owners on review of the existing software records, assist the Project Accounting Manager on review of assigned capital projects, month end JE?s, Business Warehouse Reporting, internal and external audit support, and other special projects.

Requirements
BS/BA in Accounting Required. CPA/MBA a plus.
