Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, verifies accuracy of vendor invoices for Hospital and Foundation purchases and processes same for payment in a timely manner. Contacts vendors, Purchasing and appropriate Hospital and Foundation personnel in order to ensure receipt of ordered items, enters invoices and credit memos into the A/P system for processing, proofs and edits Accounts Payable reports, processes vendor checks and updates vendor master files.



REQUIREMENTS


REQUIRED: High school diploma or equivalent and at least two years experience processing accounts payable in a computerized office environment. Basic understanding of fundamentals of accounting acquired through college coursework or experience.
