T-Mobile's SAP Reporting Team has a unique opportunity to learn a technical platform that is rapidly growing. The position as a Analyst III, SAP Reporting is a key customer facing position that allows for the growth both technically and professionally. This is a high energy group at the beginning of an exciting period of growth.

This individual must be able to complete analysis of business problems to be solved with automated systems, specifically Project Systems, Asset Management, Investment Management, A/P and General Ledger. Must provide technical assistance in identifying and evaluating problems, as well as developing reporting solutions and processes that are effective and meet user requirements.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Intake user issues with query maintenance and creation. Requires documentation processes and follow through.
Troubleshoot problems and work with power users to correct them.
Translate business requirements into system impacts and functional specifications.
Work with data architects and BI developers to translate requirements into technical specifications
Utilize functional knowledge of the systems to train others
Manage security access for all reporting on PDM/BW cubes
Work with business users to understand needs for additional reporting and coordinate with other members of the team for cross functional delivery
Validate queries and assist team in publishing "certified queries" to end user audience
Coordinate prototype reviews and create test requirements

Discretion & Independent Judgment

Establish report maintenance processes for designated functional area in cooperation with partner groups (BI, SAP and Business owners) so that overall maintenance, report development and user support is well-coordinated and as fast, accurate, cost-effective and user-friendly as possible.

Mediate between conflicting needs and priorities of customer groups, so that highest/best value is delivered to company.

Management Authority

Regularly directs the work of two or more full time employees or the FTE equivalent
Interviewing, selecting and training employees
Adjusting pay rates, work schedules and approving leaves
Conducting performance reviews
Planning and controlling budget expenditures
Exercises authority to suspend, discipline and terminate employees
Is accountable for the work of a recognized organizational unit
Appraises employees to determine eligibility for promotion or other status changes
Determining and securing the resources and materials needed to perform the work of the unit

Functional/Technical Skills

Leadership ability, strong teamwork skills, conflict management skills, facilitation of teams/groups, presentation skills, ability to drive and obtain consensus.
Experience with ad-hoc query development (Crystal Reports, Business Objects, Business Explorer, or other)
Experience using data warehouse or analytical tools for business purposes
SAP knowledge in designated modules and general knowledge of other modules.
Expert knowledge of T-Mobile business processes in designated areas.
SQL Experience desirable.
Business process documentation skills are desirable.
Broad knowledge in business process, internal controls and system flows
Understanding of reporting solution options
Ability to multitask and manage time independently with little direction
Excellent problem solving skills
Strong writing skills
MS Office Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)

Education & Experience

A 4 year degree in Accounting, Finance or MIS (or equivalent)
Minimum 6 years business experience, with 2 years business specific functional experience within T-Mobile
Report Analyst skills or lead role on a operational reporting team are desirable
Analytical/logical thinking
Technical problem solving

Environmental/Physical Demands Use of hands and fingers Occasional Travel
