SUMMARY

Performs associate level functions as they relate to the reporting and payment of royalties by Licensees and the allocation of royalties to Licensors. The Associate must understand the activities, responsibilities, and interactions of the Royalty Operations Department to achieve departmental and company goals and deliver the highest level of customer service.


GENERAL

Project, internally and externally, a standard for and about excellence thereby projecting professional courtesy and sophistication that promotes and enhances the Company's image. Work well with and cooperate with other staff to resolve issues and conflicts.
Be knowledgeable of and comply with the Companys personnel, financial planning and control, computer, and workplace security policies and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain and update databases used in daily Royalty Operations processes to assure accuracy of data and data relationships to other systems software (i.e. PortLA and Sales Logix).
Responsible for the processing of incoming Licensee Royalty Statements, specifically:
Validate each Royalty Statement for completeness and accuracy as required by the License Agreements.
Enter the Royalty Statement and document comments in PortLA.

Responsible for corresponding with Licensees via email, therefore requiring advanced written communication skills that must conform to established company policies.
Responsible for entering and matching royalty payments to corresponding Royalty Statements. Research any payment discrepancies.

Responsible for collection efforts (unallocated, uncollected, and non-compliant Licensees) using established departmental guidelines.

Produce, track, and file Licensee royalty payment/statement reminder and new Licensee welcome letters. Validate accuracy before sending to Licensees.

Perform invoicing and tax related tasks to mitigate the tax withheld from the Licensors total royalty payment.
Create and perform a first review of Licensor royalty allocation reports (Settlement Statements) against calculation data.
Under general supervision, responsible for conducting and documenting royalty analysis projects.
Perform tasks as requested by Team Leads and Management to create efficiencies in the overall Royalty Operations Department and ensure consistency in the application of all processes relating to the collection and allocation of royalties.
Continuously strive for professional development through industry reading, research, training and seminars.
Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

College degree (4-year) with a minimum of one year of professional experience. Well organized and detail-oriented, advanced written skills, strong MS Office skills, ability to work well independently and as a productive member of a team, prioritize multiple demands, and work well under pressure. International experience a plus. Language abilities in Mandarin, Taiwanese, and Japanese is a Plus.
