Risk Analyst - Private Client Services

As a Risk Analyst, you will assist in minimizing and preventing losses resulting from high risk and fraudulent accounts and monetary or non-monetary transactions. You will work under general supervision and demonstrate capability to review and/or investigate routine risk transactions, reports or accounts and exercise good jusgement in identifying issues and driving resolution. In accordance with departmental and corporate procedures as well as Regulations, you will take proactive measures to prevent losses as well as preventing reputational risk through any of the following: performing investigations, reviewing high risk account transactions, analyzing suspicious account activity and properly reporting and categorizing activity that could potentially create a loss or Regulation exposure. You will operate in a team environment and often have interaction with various levels of PCS employess. You will also rely upon effective relationships with Corporate Security, the Law Department, Compliance and other representatives from various lines of business.



Your daily activities will include:

Performing routine account activity review of risky transactions and high risk accounts

Following standard procedures and action plans to reduce exposure on suspect items and/or transactions

Documenting the review and investigation process followed for each account reviewed and preparing various documents, reports and system entries as necessary for financial entry, certification, reporting and statistical purposes

Ensuring that regulatory, legal, bank and audit requirements are met

Interaction with local front office associates at various levels of management.
REQUIREMENTS
Strong communication (verbal and written) and project management skills. Ability to apply business knowledge to new situations and able to approach situations both globally and specific to product area. Knowledge of Trust, Banking, Lending, Brokerage and Portfolio Management is a plus Understanding of the Bank Secrecy and USA PATRIOT Act is a plus Demonstrated ability to maintain effective client and peer relationships BA or BS is required JPMorgan Chase offers an exceptional benefits program and a highly competitive compensation package.
