Revenue Specialist

Department: Finance Reports To: Business Unit Controller I. Key Deliverables Contribute to the financial success by increasing “free cash flow”. • Improve DSO by identifying unpaid invoices and resolving customer issues impacting payment frequency. • Partner with sales to lead an aggressive and focused collection effort of invalid deductions. Insure internal control and financial integrity over the revenue management process. • Insure that transactions in the revenue process are recorded consistent with internal policies & accounting rules. • Communicate control violations to appropriate parties including Sales person & BU Controller. Focus on value added activities within the revenue management process to improve the business. • Deliver the best service to internal and external customers. • Educate and partner with the sales team in managing their financial requirements. Improve individual skills to respond to the needs of a growing company. • Utilize the “IDP” concept to identify and improve personal skill sets. • Develop and employ the skills to maintain a high level of productivity. II. Principal Accountabilities: Major Activities 1. Perform control function to validate accuracy of contracts and trade promotion claims. Compliance with SOX guidelines and internal controls. 2. Identify and assist Sales team in resolving discrepancies between the customer order and company pricing. Invoice accuracy. Reduce risk of customer deducting invalid pricing claims or receiving allowances not offered. 3. Accurate and timely application of cash receipts in accordance with established guidelines. Assess customer opportunity and risk. 4. Validate and process customer promotion claims in Vista & SAP. Internal control of trade spending to allow for accuracy in reporting actual funds spent at a pack group level. 5. Validate the accuracy of trade accruals by reconciling promotion forecast to actual customer claims for the individual deal. Ensures accurate reporting of incurred spending. 6. Collection of customer past due invoices and invalid deductions. Improve free cash flow (FCF). Return invalid funds to be re-invested. Provide leadership & analysis to Sales to eliminate of future invalid claims. 7. Establish cross-functional relationships to respond to needs of the business. Resolution of customer issues. Improve management of trade spending and collections. Develop ideas to move customers in a positive direction. III. Competencies Self motivated; requiring little day-to-day supervision.
