Restaurant Bookkeeper

Valley Area Restaurant is currently seeking a Bookkeeper. We are searching for sharp, high-performing individual to work as the Bookkeeper in a fast paced environment.



PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION
The Restaurant Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining complete and accurate system of records for all financial transactions at the restaurant, prepare periodic financial and statistical reports for management analysis, and maintain records dealing with cash receipts, receivables, inventories, and payroll and accounts payables at the restaurant level. He/she supports the General Manager by completing projects as directed.
REQUIREMENTS
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
•Prepare accurate and timely information as it relates to financial transaction.
•Prepare required reports, accounting analysis, and payroll data in an accurate and timely manner.
•Review internal controls and accounting procedures on an ongoing basis, and report any non-compliance of company policy to District and Regional Management.

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
•Full Time
•Local travel required when considered necessary.
•Schedule may fluctuate based on departmental requirements. (monthend/holidays)
•Observance of all Company Polices and Procedures.
•Physical demands include light work, prolonged walking and/or standing along with the occasional exertion of up to 25lbs of force.

EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
•Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
•Detailed oriented with a strong emphasis on accuracy.
•Strong working knowledge of accounting principles.
•Strong PC skills with a working knowledge of including but not limited to MS Excel, MS Word, MS Office, and Outlook.
•College Degree or 3 years related experience preferred.
