Regional Functional Head of Margin Client Services

Our Investment Bank is one of the world’s top global investment banking and securities firms, providing a full spectrum of products to institutional and corporate clients, intermediaries, government and hedge funds worldwide.Regional Head of Margin Client Services covering all margin and valuations clients in North America.Reporting functionally to the Global Head of Margin Client Services based in London, with a regional reporting line into the Regional Functional Head of Margin Management based in Stamford.Margin Client Services is a new global team within Global Collateral and Margin Management (GCMM) created to focus resources on the pursuit of client success and address the need for a more coherent, cross product approach to client service delivery.The role offers the opportunity to rollout and shape the global client services strategy for all North American GCMM clients, including OTC Derivatives, Repo, Prime Brokerage.Work with product-aligned client service teams to define an effective working model for client interactionDeliver transactional guidance and advice to the business and clients on all margin related topics, in line with existing GCMM margin policiesParticipate in defining local requirements for IT reengineering initiatives based on prioritized feedback received during client visitsManage relationships with key internal stakeholders.Supply regular management information and feedback on client visitsManage one other personRollout and support the strategy for Margin Client Services in North AmericaRepresent GCMM at targeted client review meetings and pre-trade client onboarding meetingsAct as the ultimate escalation point for all client related issues in GCMM North AmericaManagement and development of one other personForge strong relationships with the business to: Identify key revenue generating and high potential clients for the Americas region Enable joint client review meetings Produce tailored client marketing materials for the North American marketWork towards improving UBS’ ranking in key customer service/operational performance surveysPromote GCMM activities across the organization through identifying training and information sharing opportunitiesResearch opportunities for client events based on feedback from client meetings or local market requirements and host one eventPromote UBS’ margin and valuations client service agenda through industry forumsClient on-boardingAdvancement Opportunities and timeframe: Dependent on skills, performance and preferences of the candidatePreferred Qualifications:Experience of educational, advisory or negotiation work with clients Has good understanding of most relevant products and / or processes required to achieve objectives within the relevant business area. REQUIREMENTS
Basic Qualifications:Experience in margin management in at least two major margin product areas (OTC Derivatives, Prime Brokerage, Valuations, Repo)Experience of direct client interaction, ideally with Hedge FundsGood working knowledge of ISDA margin documentation. GMRA, GMSLA knowledge useful too.Overall margin experience should be a minimum of 4 yearsExcellent communicator, both written and verbal, with previous experience in dealing with a wide variety of clientsMotivated self-starter with the ability to work collaboratively within the GCMM global structureAbility to implement new processes and procedures in line with a standardized global strategy whilst recognizing the need to accommodate local market practicesCapable of applying an organized, structured approach to client interaction to ensure efficacy of client meetings
