Regional Finance Director

We are currently seeking a Regional Finance Director ("RFD") for the North Region of the Convention Centers & Cultural Attractions division of ARAMARK Sports & Entertainment, a $100M portfolio with nearly 20 accounts in 9 states. The RFD will be primarily responsible for the consolidated reporting, financial analysis, projection/planning process and special projects as they relate to the business unit's and region's financial objectives. Other responsibilities include supervision of the accounting staff and controllers, providing accounting guidance to regional and business unit management teams on existing business, forecasting and budgeting, and monthly operating results. The RFD proposes creative ideas and demonstrates an enthusiastic willingness to develop and evaluate business opportunities; takes steps to convert ideas to action through self and others; exerts significant influence in the development of overall objectives and long-range goals; provides recommendations based on analysis and interpretation of statistics of current and future operations and directs compliance. This position is located in Philadelphia, PA and reports to the Regional Vice President of Convention Centers & Cultural Attractions - North. Other responsibilities include:
Monitoring progress throughout the month and report any significant exceptions to internal controls and company procedures and policies;
Ensuring policy compliance & adherence to financial controls and requirements (ie SOX 404);
Ensuring reporting and controls are in place to monitor and project team business results;
Managing the forecasting process;
Being accountable for preparation and review of post-event analysis;
Leading bi-weekly/quarterly financial business reviews, sharing results with the leadership team;
Managing the reprojection weekly review and analysis;
Preparing & leading annual operating plan process, providing financial and business leadership;
Tracking and ensuring delivery of operating plan commitment;
Understanding consumption data and consumer insights to identify trends and suggest improvements; and
P&L training.
Job Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree with at least 5-7 years of experience in financial analysis, project management, accounting, and operational analysis within a corporate or regional department. MBA or CPA, strongly preferred. The ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations, required. The successful candidate must have the ability to write reports, business correspondence, procedure manuals, and to effectively present information and respond to questions from a diverse group of managers, clients, and customers. Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work without direct authority, to manage multiple projects/tasks and deal with changing priorities and demonstrated success working with and advising management of financial and business strategy are critical for success in this role. The ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, required. You must have good knowledge of applicable statutes, laws, rules, and regulations. Experience in a hospitality environment preferred.
