This is done through sales techniques, the management of budgets, forecasts, products and availability and by representing Olympus America Inc.'s policies, programs, and products in an ethical, professional and business like manner. Keeps assigned accounts informed about availability, pricing, programs, products and events. Coordinates demo days by arranging dates and staffing through vendor. Works with the marketing department to develop special opportunities for each account to add incremental sales. Visits each assigned account monthly or regularly as required with a specific sales purpose. Works trade shows such as PMA (photo marketing assoc.), CES (consumer electronics show) and Comdex (computer dealer's exposition). Plans and schedules meetings with key executives from both Olympus and the respective accounts. Provides timely, complete and accurate call reports, itineraries, dealer profiles, monthly activity reports, forecasts, placement charts and any other special data requested by Management. Performs other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS
(ONLY QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL BE CONSIDERED) A minimum of 5 years sales experience with exposure to senior level personnel is required. Must have an understanding of retailing and the different retail channels. Must also have an understanding of budgeting and advertising. Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels, from store clerks to senior level management. Must be PC literate and able to use PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Access and have knowledge of E-mail systems and Internet operations. Must be highly motivated with the ability to work unsupervised in a home office environment. Strong organizational skills are required. A Bachelor's degree or the equivalent knowledge is required.
