Real Estate / Staff Accountant

We are seeking a professional, qualified candidate for the position of Staff Accountant.Responsibilities include full charge accounting for several properties with a diverse tenant base from retail to commercial. Day to day duties include, but are not limited to the following:-Accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and various other reports as required by ownership/management
-G/L account analysis and review
-Annual budget preparation-Variance analysis
-Coding invoices for accounts payable and review of the A/P input
-Ensuring compliance with the management contracts
-Maintain building and lease files
-Special projects as assigned by the Accounting Manager, Divisional Controller and/or CFO
REQUIREMENTS
A bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required. Two or more years of Real Estate accounting experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and MRI or equivalent program a must. Ideal candidate will be detail oriented and possess excellent analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills, have a strong work ethic and have the ability to meet deadlines. Good time management skills are a necessity. Must have the ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision to complete accounting duties and tasks successfully.
