Job Description:
The Ernst & Young Real Estate Advisory Services Practice provides comprehensive real estate, construction and other business advisory services to more developers, builders, lenders and Fortune 500 companies than any other professional services firm. Our Construction Services Group currently has an opportunity on our Chicago location for an Advisor: Ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of applicable experience with good fundamental design and construction project management skills. Experience with project controls (scheduling and cost control), project engineering, and/or cost engineering preferred. Healthcare, biotechnology or telecommunication experience is a plus. Strong writing skills and consulting experience are required. Occasional travel required. Blueprint reading, construction cost estimation, and construction industry work experience required. Candidates should possess a technical degree in Construction Management, Civil or Mechanical Engineering and/or Architecture. An advanced degree is preferred. Job responsibilities will include project management oversight for construction (including the monitoring of costs, schedules, etc.); process improvement analysis; construction cost audits; and claims. REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: To qualify, candidates must have: a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or a related field; MBA preferred a minimum of 3 years of related audit or applicable business experience; 2 or more years of public accounting experience preferred a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience would be acceptable for those holding a relevant graduate degree CPA/CA, CIA, CISA, CFE, CMA, RICS APC, PMP or CCIM certification desired; non-certified hires are required to become certified to be eligible for promotion to Manager strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills demonstrated integrity, values, principles, and work ethic proficiency with MS Office and Lotus NotesSuccessful candidates must be available to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary. Second language skills and international business experience are preferred.
