REGION FINANCE DIRECTOR

Dealer: FLORIDA REGIONJob Description: AutoNation, ranked as one of America's Most Admired Companies for 4 consecutive years by Fortune Magazine, has an immediate opening for the position of Region Finance Director. This person will work with the Region VP of Finance in supporting the region finance organization including the store controllers and the region operations group from a financial perspective.He/She performs financial planning and analysis utilizing Corporate tools i.e. ABMT, SSP, etc as well as region specific tools. Partners with the region management team, dealership GM and dealership Controller to ensure information is accurate and completed timely. This individual will assist the region in addressing issues and developing actions plans for various areas including, but not limited to, forecasts, budgets, monthly operating reviews, acquisitions, capital spend, DMS issues, accounting policy, internal audit findings, etc. Need Excel, Hyperion, and database experience.Key Responsibilities:
Finance partner with the region operations team, Region VP Finance, and dealership GM’s and controllers to support analysis and reporting of performance.
Directs and supervises 1-2 region finance staff and assists the VP Finance in directing the actions of Store Controllers.
Works directly with the region finance team to assist in resolution of issues and achieving the budgeted targets for compensation and other SG& A.
Coordinates the planning and analysis effort for the entire region including the dealerships for the accurate and timely completion of the DOC, forecasts and budgets.
Supports initiatives that promote the development and growth of the store controller position.
Assists in implementing actions to support the eventual implementation of a Shared Resource Center.
Supports key control efforts including accounting policies related to Sarbannes-Oxley.Assists Region VP Finance in supporting field finance organization consisting of 1-2 district financial staff and on average 55 Store Controllers. Also significant responsibility for partnering with on average 15 region operations management positions and 67 GM’s.
