Job Description:
Ernst & Young, LLP, a leading professional services firm, is seeking a Quantitative/Financial Analyst. Experience in data and financial modeling in investment or commercial banking industry or the information services industy would be preferred; achievement of or significant progress towards a CFA a plus. Transform primary and secondary data into insightful and actionable information, and create on demand deliverables to meet client requests using various analytic tools and techniques. Develop new and creative quantitative analyses to prove and/or challenge key assertions across multiple industry sectors. Assume a leadership role in detailed financial and quantitative modeling. Responsibilities: Provide the necessary leadership and guidance to team members to elevate current level of analysis. Participate in the training and development of staff members to develop their quantitative and financial skills. Review colleagues deliverables and advise on bolstering key findings with more rigorous quantitative and financial analysis. Lead or advise project teams to create analysis from structured and unstructured requests. Work independently or participate on project teams as needed. Provide insight by analyzing market factors and quantitative models utilizing financial metrics and other data. Present findings and make recommendations to decision makers. Manage resources needed to complete analysis products. REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: Requirements: Education: - a Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related discipline - an MBA is preferred, equivalent work experience considered Experience: - 4+ years of experience with and understanding of financial and quantitative modeling, preferably in the investment or commercial banking industry or the information services industy - experience in market research, strategic planning, competitive intelligence and/or consulting - working knowledge of the professional services market is preferred Skills: - excellent teamwork and leadership skills; - ability to analyze information coherently and succinctly; solid knowledge of statistical and financial theories and practical experience in applying those theories and software in research and analysis - exceptional presentation and project management skills - a strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, and a commitment to stay at the cutting edge of financial and quantitative analysis - proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and Access, and in financial tools such as Factset, Bloomberg, Thomson and SDC. This position also requires moderate travel.
