As the Manager of Quality Assurance, you will implementation and administration of the Change Management Quality Assurance Programs. The focus of this position will be implementation of Change Management processes to ensure accurate, timely and transparent financial data that is in compliance with Enterprise standards. This includes partnering with business segments to successfully maintain control environment.
Essential Accountabilities:
Development/updating of the Change Management Quality Assurance program and integration with Model Validation, Internal Audit and Sarbanes Oxley.
The enhancements and implementation of QA standards
The enhancement of internal control standards.
The education, training and implementation of the change management program.
Design and implementation of various entity level control programs.
Performing Quality Assurance review.
Performing testing and consulting with the businesses on the design and operation of the control environment.
Logging and tracking control deficiencies as needed
Tracking and reporting of QA open items and status to the steering committee.
The development and enhancement of the QA tools and systems.
Execution of the entity level control programs.
Exhibit desirable and appropriate professional behavior including integrity, ability to learn, results orientation, ability to interact effectively with others, team playing, sense of urgency and a quality focus to provide for a cohesive, productive unit dedicated to the achievement of company and department goals.
Ability to train and coach staff, business segments and business partners on change management program. Including how to evidence controls and assist with implementing change in a controlled manner.
Develop and maintain relationships with business segments and partners to ensure timely results
Requirements:
Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Public Accounting or Internal Audit experience with CPA Certification or deep Financial Services accounting experience desired
8+ years of financial accounting experience with a progressive increase in technical complexity in financial analysis and the application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in the financial services industry
Experience in audit processes including developing audit programs, conducting audit field work, preparation of documentation, development of recommendations and preparation of final report.
Experience working with valuation models and methodologies helpful
Experience assessing accounting change including system changes, impact of new accounting pronouncements and operational impacts desired
Experience implementing accounting changes into accounting operations desired
Strong focus on internal controls helpful
Strong project management skills
Understanding of FASB, EITF and related industry accounting rules/policies
Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, negotiating, listening)
