Quality Assurance Analyst / Tester

(NYSE-BE) is one of the world's largest Management and Technology Consulting companies dedicated to aligning business and systems to empower Global 2000 companies and government organizations.The BearingPoint Public Services team is currently searching for Quality Assurance Analyst / Tester.Location: Springfield, VARelocation: noPerformance Profile:Candidate will be responsible for application testing and assuring that quality processes are followed for a developing program to manage hundreds of thousands of smartcard users in government agencies. Candidate should have experience creating and executing comprehensive software test strategies, test plans and test scripts. The ideal candidate will have experience testing software applications and can create test strategies, test plans and test scripts and regression scripts in support of all intended production releases of software. Candidate will need to capture quality data for reporting and statistical trending. The candidate will communicate the status of all testing activities to product development, project management and I.T. leadership. Quality findings are expected to be documented in a structured format for development team to act upon.Candidate is expected to be proactive in recommending changes to management to improve application performance, reliability, and security.Position-specific Requirements:Functional requirements:
Must have Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science, Engineering or Systems Engineering a strong plus)

US Citizenship and able to pass a background check

Strong systems analysis, problem solving, and design skillsTechnical requirements:
Minimum of 2 yrs. experience designing, developing, executing and documenting test strategies, test plans and test cases.
Minimum 2 years experience with SQL Server. Ability to analyze and understand stored procedures and run SQL queries.
Minimum 2 years web and client-based application testing.
Ability to comprehend the following programming/markup languages: Java, HTML, XML
Track record of testing and recording results on high volume transaction systems in a complex environment is required.
Load testing experience on a number of clients simultaneously to test a client-server system and measure and report response times.
Stress testing experience to determine the stability of the systems and ability to identify and report weaknesses found.
Familiar with CMM/CMMI level 3 processes.
Experience with Rational Robot or other automated testing tools is a plus.Industry experience:
Experience with Biometrics and/or Smartcards, including relevant standards

Understanding of Identity management and regulatory requirements
