Our success is the result of superior products, high standards of performance, distinctive competitive strategies and the high integrity of our people.Our offices are located in downtown Chicago and convenient to both city and suburban public transportation.Reporting to the Capital Supervisor within the Hot Fill Supply Chain Finance Group, the Associate Financial Analyst I specific responsibilities will include a broad range of accounting/finance activities (primarily the Project Manager Assistant SAP role), financial planning and internal control activities: Accounting period close reporting related tasks. Assist in the Corporate Management reporting of capital spending results including calculating and communicating key performance indicators and ensuring that data is accurate and readily available to make operational decisions. Annual Operating Plan (for capital spending and related expense) development within SAP. Provide direct accounting and project support to project managers and Corporate Engineering for capital projects. Control accuracy and integrity of a project?s commitments and actual cost information.
Ensure all project requests routed for approval are complete and approval is in accordance with PepsiCo policy. Examples include, but are not limited to, the following: Multiple bids are required.
Accurate account information. Correct delegation of authority is used for routing.
Timely completion of assigned project work including process improvement and ad hoc analysis.
Testing and evaluation of internal controls. This is a new role with additional tasks still to be defined as PepsiCo completes the transition to SAP.
REQUIREMENTS
* Entry level position must have a minimum of 1 year experience
* Undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting, CPA or CMA a plus* Demonstrated interest in accounting/finance and operations through coursework or internships Experience in project accounting and/or accounts payable experience a plus* Knowledge of accounting for capital projects, construction, and/or an engineering environment* Strong people and communication skills to manage information-gathering requests  in order to communicate with all levels of management* Results oriented, able to complete assignments in a timely and accurate manner, and the ability to manage competing priorities* Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office products
* Experience and ability to function in an automated environment with knowledge of database systems such as Oracle or SAP (or any ERP system)
