Purchasing / Contract Administration Manager

The Purchasing Manager manages and administers corporate purchasing activities, with particular emphasis on the management and administration of non-technology contracts. Will also assist with department capital/operating budget and with updating department policy/procedures. Must have strong corporate experience in total cost analysis, contract administration and management for both insourced and outsourced products and services; must have prior staff management experience; must be able to develop requests for proposals, solicit bids, analyze quotations and make recommendations.
REQUIREMENTS
• College Degree in business administration, finance, and/or equivalent experience
• 7 years related work and management experience for a corporation, that includes working knowledge of: cost effective and efficient purchasing methods; electronic commerce purchasing; bid processes and negotiations; purchasing software systems; best business purchasing practices.
• 5 years contract administration and negotiation experience
• Banking/financial services experience is preferred but not required
• Certified Purchasing Professional designation is preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Professional Office, including Word, Access, Excel, and timeline tracking, and other current purchasing software
• Strong consultation skills
• Strong negotiation skills
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills
• Excellent communications skills
• Excellent accounting and finance skills
• Ability to lead, direct and motivate staff, and to interact effectively with management and other departments, as evidenced by previous managerial experience
