Project Lead - Finance/Retek

I. POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for leading technical team members through software implementations, existing application modifications, and application systems support. This position will lead projects and technically oversee resources in design, development, maintenance, documentation, testing, troubleshooting, and support. II. ACCOUNTABILITIES: A. Baseline responsibilities for Project Lead
Development
Lead technical team members through design, analysis, coding, testing, problem solving, and system development lifecycle procedures
Design complex application requirements and processes
Facilitate design sessions with business team’s subject matter experts
Create and execute implementation plans
Administer change control procedures as required
Comply with and enhance systems development methodology procedures and development standards
Ensure software version control
Ensure documentation of issues and consequent resolutions
Display analytical and critical thinking patterns
Exhibit thoroughness and accuracy

Support
Manage application support calls from end-users
Prioritize competing needs
Troubleshoot, document, and resolve application issues
Schedule on-call rotation for team members
Responsible for on-call issue resolution as required
Ensure the development of technical and user documentation
Follow issue escalation procedures as required
Manage scheduled data purge routines as required
Ensure data integrity of supported systems by monitoring key data files as required Project Management

Manage projects with minimal supervision
Multi-task on concurrent projects
Identify and report issues and risks to management
Estimate effort and timeline for large Programming Changes and Strategic Projects using internal Estimating Model
Prepare project status reports for management as required
Build and manage MS Project work plans and other required documents for SDLC Administrative

Proficient use of MS office
Ability to utilize MS Visio
Proficient use of MS Project
Participate in the hiring process for new team members
Participate in the annual review process for team members Staff Development

Ability to share and receive knowledge with other team members and end-users
Develop team members and support their individual growth opportunities
Learn and understand systems and their business impact
Delegate responsibilities to team members to develop their knowledge of systems B. Specific responsibilities for Project Lead, Retek Database and Financial Systems

Aldon (Preferred)
RDA (Preferred)
Have full knowledge and understand commonly-used programming concepts and practices within the RPG/400 environment
Have knowledge and understand commonly-used project management concepts and practices
Exhibit excellent communication skills, team skills, planning skills, customer service skills and problem solving skills
Display initiative and a pertinent sense of urgency

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field. Equivalent experience may be considered
