Job Description:
Works with areas of the Tax Quality Review Program to plan, implement and monitor complex projects, as well as preparing program plans providing for identification of resources, establishing reasonable deadlines and outlining action steps to be taken, and the development and maintenance of program plans, evaluating and reporting on program progress and recommending process improvements when necessary. Also, management of program staff in a matrix environment. This individual will act as primary liaison between within the Tax practice. Other responsibilities include working with Program Director to manage project scope and maintain budget integrity, as well as preparing project budget and management of expenditures in order to operate within approved budget. Advanced Understanding of scope, schedule, planning; Moderate understanding of time management, resource management, communication management, & cost management.Create and develop the program scope and schedule for tax quality review program; Plans and assigns resources to associated tasks and deliverables as appropriate; Manages resources and tasks based on project plan.Prepare 3 year Tax Quality Review (“TQR”) plan and the review plan for the current fiscal year. Confirm review dates with Tax Managing Partners (“TMPs”) and adjust as necessary. Identify team captains for the TQRs and confirm availability. Determine reviewer needs and work with Area leadership to recruit TQR Advisory reviewers. Prepare communications for TMPs to send to personnel within Area that will be impacted by the upcoming reviews. Review engagement selections prepared by TQR Program Coordinator and validate engagement selections with Area Directors of Tax Process Implementation (“ADTPIs”), TMP, TQR Liaison, TQR Program Director and Team Captain. Communicate with and serve as point of contact for professionals being reviewed and the review team. Send out TQR Information Request to reviewees, compile and analyze information received. Coordinate onsite review logistics with TQR Liaisons. Staff TQR review teams. Resolve scheduling issues. Prepare review assignments for team captain’s review and approval. Set up and participate in TQR conference calls held by team captains. Prepare TQR information package for review teams prior to on-site visits. Participate in TQR closing conferences as appropriate. Keep TQR Program Director informed of status, progress, issues, risks, remedial actions and mitigation strategies. Summarize TQR participation for Area / tax leadership. Identify Leading Practices. Disseminate information to appropriate parties. Monitor Action Plans progress. Prepare quarterly and annual TQR reports for tax leadership. Work with TQR Advisory Program Coordinator on Global TQR reporting and compliance. Modify program as necessary to comply with Global TQR requirements. Prepare TQR Advisory program budget. Monitor progress to ensure that program is on-schedule and in budget. Modify plan as needed. Manage repository of TQR review documents, including administration of document retention protocols. Participate in TQR Advisory reviewer training as program leader.
