The Product Development Finance Manager will work closely with senior management and will oversee budget and financial project ownership for strategic product development areas for NBCU. Responsibilities will include working with the business and technology leaders to develop financial justification and prioritization for digital media projects, as well as provide strategic focus and direction for new growth areas.Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
Involvement in critical NBCU growth projects driving business direction and strategy
Coordinate Product Development Technology spend across NBCU divisions - Digital Media, Film, TV Group, iVillage, Media Works, etc
Ownership of Product Development budgets and project analysis in strategic digital growth areas:
Electronic Sell Through / Download to Own
Interactive TV
Wireless / NBCU Mobile
Digital Living Room / Consumer Home Technologies
Gaming
Conduct project analysis and identify financial justification and benefits
Analyze revenue upside within business units and map to technology and operations costs
Interface closely with operating businesses to drive growth and productivity
Provide company executives and management with timely and meaningful financial information, focusing on adding value to organization and shaping business strategy
Prepare and present financial models and executive level presentations for Operating, Finance, and Executive audiences
Assist in preparation and analysis of financial forecasts and variance analysis (estimates, SII, Growth Playbook)

REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
Minimum of 5 years progressive finance and leadership experience
Strong analytical skills required - organized, accurate and detail oriented self-starter with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Excellent PC skills with proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPointDesired: CAS/FMP Desirable
Must have proven effective communication and inter-personal skills, ability to interact with Senior Management
Strong time-management skills, ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work both independently and with a team and have the flexibility to take on miscellaneous tasks as assigned
Familiarity with FP&A requirements and NBC reporting tools a plus
Technology/IT Background a plusGeneral: The Technology Growth Center (TGC) is a department in Media Works that is involved in the strategic technology decisions that span all of NBC Universal's businesses including Film, Home Video, Broadcast and Cable Television, and Digital Media.
