Principal Financial Analyst - Process & Projects

Job Summary: Job Summary:
Responsibilities include performance of key financial analyses and process improvement of the Company’s financial data employing an understanding of financial planning, accounting, cash management, and corporate finance.Reports To:
TBDPrimary Duties and Responsibilities:ANALYTICS
Performs financial analysis of actuals, forecasts, and five-year plans for reporting to Senior Management.
Works with the business units and corporate staff organizations to track and improve the financial reporting process.
Evaluates financial data and prepares reports and presentations for management regarding the Company's short and long range financial outlook.
Supports task forces, committees, or project teams organized to study and implement process improvements in monthly reporting and analysis, monthly functional cost analysis, corporate staffing expenses, etc.
Develops and tracks key performance indicators.
Analyzes the Corporate impacts of various risks and opportunities.
Assists in the development of customized computer models to complete financial analysis.PROCESS & PROJECTS
Overall streamlining of reporting process and exploitation of systems and tools to accelerate the reporting of earnings results to management. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Project Management
Creating reports
Assisting in variance analyses
Utilizing, documenting and streamlining internal controls in the process
Directing people in the SIRIUS methodologyJob Specifications:Knowledge:
Demonstrated process re-engineering experience
Knowledge of accounting principles.
Exposure to financial reporting tools
Exposure to finance, accounting and business issues.Skills/Abilities:
Strong analytical skills.
Strong computer skills. Ability to exploit systems and tools to streamline processes.
Self starter. Able to work independently on multi-step projects.
Good written and oral communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills.
Capability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
Ability to work up, down, and across the organization.Education / Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline and at least 5-7 years of job related experience.
Demonstrated ability to use systems and tools effectively to improve processes.
Relevant Master's degree (MBA, MS Finance) and/or CPA a plus.
