Plant Controller - Los Angeles - Product Supply

Functions as the Los Angeles Plant Controller and is responsible for the application of Hill's financial policies, procedures and systems

Functions as a member of the Strategic Leadership Team, which:

- leads the development of an HCWS (High Commitment Work Systems) organization

- leads enrollment of the Plant in the Plant vision

- provides resources as necessary to achieve plant strategy

- ensures decision making processes are consistent with guiding principles

- establishes clear direction and continuous improvement expectations for the Plant

- leads and supports change

- provides effective career planning

Leads the development of the Plant's financial strategies

Provides top level direction for budget, payroll and commitments

Liaisons with Corporate Finance, Purchasing and Product Supply

Responsible for Cost Targets and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)

Provides business support and financial expertise for Plant Management

Responsible for financial systems improvements

Responsible for employee store operations and policies

Accountable for meeting or exceeding safety standards according to the published Hill's Safety Policy at the plant

REQUIREMENTS
Skills

Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer

Ability to work in a HCWS environment

Ability to envision the future direction of the organization and plan the actions necessary to achieve that future

Knowledge

BS degree in Accounting/CPA preferred

5 years experience in Finance or Accounting at a manufacturing facility (food related preferred)

3 years experience managing people

Purchasing experience

SAP

Excel, Word and Access software packages
