Plant Controller - Consumer Products

As a key member of the Plant Manager's staff you will use your analytical and persuasion skills to focus and to challenge other key members on: costs and variances (materials and labor to convert), efficiencies, and inventory levels. You will plan & forecast product costs and track variances by correct brands. During new product development prepare costs estimates and production standards (including documentation of assumptions). Maintain a constant review and update of all existing product costs. Insure full control over raw and packaging materials, WIP, and Finished Goods, coordinating and controlling regular stock counts. Also maintain a dual reporting relationship with corporate Finance with: monthly close process, accuracy in account balances, timely & completeness of Supply reporting: Industrial P&L, Factory Operating Statement, Fixed cost managements, Headcount reporting, etc. Maintain the Fixed Asset registry.
REQUIREMENTS
BA in Accounting of Finance, MBA is a plus, and CPA strongly preferred with 5-8 years in Cost Accounting and strong financial analysis as demonstrated in previous positions. Ideally now a plant Controller, must have prior supervisory experience. Able to work independently as well as within a team and in motivating others. Strong preference for prior food and/or consumer packaged goods background (please, no financial services or heavy manufacturing backgrounds). Client uses JD Edwards and seeks upwardly mobile applicants. Future promotions will likely entail relocation.
