The Miller Company, a fully integrated manufacturer of copper-alloy strip products servicing the electronics, telecommunications, automotive and consumer electronics markets is seeking a Plant Accounting Manager to supervise 2-4 employees in a very hands-on environment.
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements for the Plant Accounting Manager:
The position requires a B.S. Accounting minimum with 5-10 years manufacturing accounting experience.
Oversees payroll, A/R, A/P, insurances, depreciation, cash applications and annual audits. Assists in the development and control of budgets.
Must have strong knowledge of GAAP accounting requirements and strong financial reporting skills.
Must be able to do journal entries, work with various accounting and administrative software applications and be proficient in use of Microsoft Excel.
Manages credit and collections activities, cash flow, cost accounting activities, inventory control, and accounts for raw materials [metals] transactions including FIFO accounting.
Handles banking activities.
Familiarity with foreign currency transactions is useful.
Must be able to work effectively with Sales, Customer Service and Purchasing Departments.
Reports to CEO.
Provides financial reporting to foreign parent Company.
