Payroll and Benefits Administrator

The Payroll and Benefits Administrator ensures all phases of the payroll cycle are completed on time and accurately by the Payroll and Benefits Representative, acts as a backup as necessary. Audits the trial and final payroll processes to ensure accurate payroll data. Produces On-Demand checks as required.. Compiles a variety of departmental reports such as insurance/benefits, EEO, labor forecast and attendance reports. Processes employment verification, unemployment, disability, and worker's compensation claims. Prepares and distributes health care continuation coverage (COBRA) information to applicable recipients Ensures the administration of the Credit Union Pension Plan.
REQUIREMENTS
The Payroll and Benefits Administrator position requires some college, Bachelor’s degree preferred with a minimum of four years related experience. Must have good understanding of state and federal wage and hour laws, and ADP (automated payroll system). Requires good analytical skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks. Requires the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
