Payroll Reporting and Analysis Manager

Reports to Sr. Payroll Manager. Supervises, trains, develops and reviews the work of and assists as necessary the Supervisor/Payroll Tax Reporting and subordinate staff on both day-to-day operations, specialized reporting and account analysis and reviews. Oversee payroll account reconciliations, review inter-company accounts and resolve reconciling items, as necessary. Assist in implementation of new HRIS system, primarily in the tax and general ledger areas. Assist with the centralized payroll processing function to ensure our newspaper units' tax and general ledger processing and interfaces are accurately migrated to the consolidated environment. Develop and maintain payroll department metrics, producing management reports on transaction volumes and costs, minimally on a monthly basis. Make updates to the payroll website, as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Accounting and 5-7 years of general payroll experience using an integrated and automated payroll system. Must have experience in the preparation of payroll tax returns and reporting and 3 years of supervisory experience. Must be able to perform complicated general ledger and system analyses. Candidate must possess exceptional customer service skills and be comfortable in a fast-paced environment. Must have excellent verbal/written communication, problem solving, organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills. Candidate must be able to react to change productively, strong initiative and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
