We will be relocating to a downtown location at year end.POSITION SUMMARY: Currently, we have an excellent career opportunity available for a Payroll Manager for Aon Warranty Group. This position will initially be located in Glenview before relocating to downtown Chicago. This highly visible role will help this dynamic organization staff up for targeted growth.ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Responsibilities include:
Analyze external vendors for future contract
Work with current parent company to transition payroll, timekeeping systems, and benefit vendor interfaces to new payroll vendor
Educate current workforce in new payroll and timekeeping processes
Establish internal processes for the timely and accurate reporting of paid time, salary changes, additions, terminations, etc. to payroll
Maximize the use of system capabilities through education of internal staff
Manage vendor relationship to maximize quality of service provided
Interact with benefit and payroll vendors to ensure accurate interface of data between vendors
Continually monitor processes to ensure quality and timeliness of service
Job Requirements
Minimum of 7-10 years in payroll management capacity
Experience with payroll software vendors, such as ADP or Ceridian
Experience with general ledger systems, primarily in the implementation of interfaces between vendor and in-house accounting systems
Demonstrated knowledge of payroll accounting, internal and external controls, policies, and laws
Strong knowledge of multi-state, federal, and local payroll tax laws
Ability to analyze vendor capabilities to meet business needs
Excellent verbal & written communication and interpersonal skills
Strong relationship building skills at all levels, internally or externally
Strong project management skills and accountability for meeting deadlines
Strong multitasking and organization skillsREQUIRED EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION:
Bachelor degree in business or related field
