Payroll Manager

No.: TOSPAY09Duties/Resposibilities:The successful candidate will manage the preparation and distribution of the organization’s exempt and hourly payrolls for both domestic and international based employees. Responsibilities include overseeing and maintaining earnings and deduction records.Additionally, the selected candidate:insures that all federal, state and local taxes, Social Security contributions, contributions to employee benefit programs, and other deductions are withheld from individual paychecks.
directs the preparation and filing of required reports and/or payments to government agencies, insurance carriers, other organizations and individual employees
serves as a liaison with other departments, units or locations in the resolution of payroll problems.
recommends changes in methods, processes and procedures to insure the optimum efficiency of the payroll function.
must possess solid knowledge of payroll procedures for a large organization to include planning, organizing, directing and supervising employees engaged in similar functions.Also, Human Resources actions will include hiring, terminations, transfers, promotions and performance reviews.The selected candidate must have a solid working knowledge of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX).Education and Experience Requirements:This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent and 8-10 years experience in managing payroll to include 5 years’ experience with Federal Government contract accounting/payroll. The individual must have strong management experience coupled with excellent oral and written communication skills.
