Payroll Analyst

Aon’s account and relationship managers form a comprehensive perspective of our clients’ organizations, matching our expertise to their business strategy.Responsible for the timely and accurate processing of company payrolls as governed by payroll schedules and federal and banking statutory guidelines.Core Responsibilities:
Process and distribute automated bi-weekly and semi-monthly salaried payrolls, including processing time reporting information, retroactive adjustments, salary continuations, terminations, new hires, verification of approvals, tax status changes, bank changes and HRIS data entry.
Accurate and timely processing of payments for voluntary and involuntary deductions, such as
garnishments, tax levies, child support payments, United Way, savings bonds, etc.
Enter and validate data such as new hires, job changes, pay rates, transfers & terminations
Read, comprehend and implement support orders, garnishments & levies
Perform manual payroll check calculations, stop payments and reversals as necessary.
Provide support to various clients.
Research and resolve payroll related issues
Document processes and procedures
Perform research and produce reports required by internal and external customers.
Assist in processing federal and state tax reports for all payrolls, including year-end processing of
W-2’s.
Perform all other duties as assigned.Critical Competencies:

Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and preferably experience with Ultipro HRIS
Basic knowledge of payroll theories and processes.
Knowledge of basic accounting principles.Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) a plus
UltiPro experience a plus
Minimum work experience required; 5 years experience in Payroll.In addition, has a basic understanding or all of Aon Consulting’s major practice areas and is learning to effectively communicate Aon’s capabilities to new and existing clients. Interacts effectively with high level client managers and works to understand clients’ objectives and concerns so as to begin to be able to position all of Aon’s services effectively. Works closely with more senior account managers in order to observe and learn more about building client relationships and effective account management and growth.
