Payroll / Accounts Payable Manager

Responsibilities: Responsible for the management and administration of the Accounts Payable, Payroll and Rebate Check processes.
Accounts Payable:
•Ensures timely payments of vendor invoices and expense vouchers and maintains accurate records and control reports.
•Responsible for State Sales & Use tax filings.
•Responsible for annual State filings of Unclaimed Property.
•Reviews applicable accounting reports and accounts payable register to ensure accuracy.
•Analyzes and maintains monthly balance sheet accrual and other supporting schedules.
•Ensures compliance with applicable Finance SOP’s and performs periodic updates as necessary.
Payroll:
•Ensures biweekly payment of wages and other compensation to employees and maintains accurate records and control reports.
•Responsible for coordination and relationship with Payroll Service Provider (ADP) in both U.S. and Canada, providing necessary information to ensure employees are accurately paid and all payroll taxes and garnishments are withheld and paid to and filed with the proper authorities on a timely basis.
•Oversees and maintains company time tracking system pay parameters and the payroll approval function.
•Oversees annual 401k audit and corresponding Form 5500 filings.
•Analyzes and maintains monthly balance sheet accrual and other supporting schedules.
•Ensures compliance with applicable Finance SOP’s and performs periodic updates as necessary.
•Manage Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Fulfillment (Rebate checks) department employees, providing assistance, guidance and development.
REQUIREMENTS
•Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field-or-equivalent experience.
•Experience: 5 – 7 years of experience in Accounts Payable/Payroll. 2 – 3 supervisory experience required.
•Licenses/Certification: Certified Public Accountant a plus.
•Special Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, payroll systems, Kronos time tracking system experience a plus.
