NeoSystems has clients located nationally with a concentration throughout the greater Washington DC area. We have an immediate opening for a Payroll Accountant in Herndon VA.

Job Description
The Payroll Accountant will be responsible for processing a 1200 person payroll, from electronic Time Sheets through printing checks for employees in all 50 states. Duties include maintenance of the Employee Master File through processing of electronic timesheets in Deltek Time Collection to preparation of the semi-monthly payroll and tax payment and reporting. The candidate will be part of the on-site accounting and finance team.

REQUIREMENTS
Education Requirement
Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.

Skill and Knowledge Requirements
Experience with the payroll module of Deltek GCS Premier or Costpoint is required. Experience with Government Contract Accounting, Deltek Time Collection and/or Cognos Impromptu helpful.

Candidate must have the ability to work independently with strong time management and organization skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.

Experience
4 or more years of in-house payroll experience required (printing checks in-house). Experience with Deltek’s GCS Premier or Costpoint Accounting systems, with a government contractor is REQUIRED.
