Payroll
Responsibilities: A Government contractor is seeking a Payroll Specialist to assist in the maintenance of employee database, new hire set-up, and salary, insurance and tax changes. Additional duties include time sheet distribution to local offices. This person will also collect, audit, enter and verify time sheets. This person prepares payroll cycle compilation files for processing. This person will process pay stubs and checks, set up direct deposit database, and respond to payroll questions. In addition, this role will process garnishments payments, calculate withholdings, and follow up with remittances. This person will also assist in responses to employment verifications, coordinate with state agencies to assure compliance with labor payment regulations and perform other duties assigned by management.
