Patient Accounting Coordinator

We are recruiting a Patient Accounting Coordinator for our Corporate Health Services Accounting Division.

General: This position verifies and balances cash receipts postings and provides general accounts receivable support to Health Services Division (HSD) facilities.

Essential Functions of Position:



Verifies and balances cast receipt postings by pay type to ensure accuracy and compliance with state and federal regulations.
Provides policy and procedure information to facility business office personnel.
Reconciles Medicare and Agency Cash accounts and patient refunds.
Performs file maintenance in HPAS billing system for facilities.
Reviews accounts receivable write-off documentation for proper authorization.
Assists other departments as needed (i.e., staff accounting, reimbursement, internal audit).

REQUIREMENTS


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:



Ability to communicate effectively.
Knowledge of basic accouting processes and procedures.
Computer literacy.
Skilled in performing work requiring attention to detail.










Qualifications:



High School Diploma or equivalent.
1 year expereience in billing/accounts receivable.
