Patient Account Analyst

Postion Summary:

The incumbent manages an assigned inventory of outsourced healthcare receivables, on behalf of Sequetor’s clients, to bill, follow up, and resolve patient accounts. The incumbent utilizes a pro-active work approach in analyzing accounts to rapidly accelerate cash collections and final resolution. This includes account reconstruction, reconciliation, working knowledge of both provider and payor claims processing systems, reimbursement contract application, electronic and manual billing, appeals and settlement.

REQUIREMENTS
Position Qualifications:

- Minimum 1 -2 years billing and collections experience in healthcare reimbursement.
- In-Depth knowledge of major healthcare patient accounting systems
- Working knowledge of major payors such as Medicare, Medi-Cal, Workers Compensation, HMOs, PPOs and Self-Pay Collections
- Basic Microsoft skills required, such as the ability to use Windows Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Position emphasizes analyical skills versus process skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, learning, work environment
- Ability to operate a ten-key by touch
- Pro-Active, Results-Oriented, Team Work Approach required
- Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
