Job Description

The Houston regional office of a large construction materials company is currently seeking a Project Analyst. The position will report directly to the company’s South Central and Gulf Regional Manager.

We are looking for a degreed professional with a degree in Business Management, Engineering, etc. to work with the Regional Manager in evaluating and analyzing financial, production, construction, distribution and consolidation projects for the region, including Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, etc. This position will also be involved in following up on current operations’ budget execution. The incumbent will be responsible for project research, analysis and evaluation. On a project basis the incumbent will have a coordinating relationship to the U.S. division headquarters finance, logistics and operations executives as well as a counter-part Analyst in the company’s southeast region.
REQUIREMENTS
Job Requirements:

Education/Experience:
B.S. degree in Engineering (Industrial, Civil, etc.), Business Management or a related field
1-3 years related experience preferred but may consider highly qualified recent graduates
Familiarity and/or experience in the heavy building materials industry a plus.Skills/Abilities:
Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project and Outlook)
High degree of professionalism
Strong interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of management
Proven written and verbal communication skills
Good multi-tasking abilities - multiple projects and critical deadlines
Fluency in Spanish a plus.
