PATIENT FINANCIAL SERVICES-BILLING MANAGER

RESPONSIBILIES
* Oversees and ensures the collection of reimbursement within a reasonable time frame through the leadership and motivation of the reimbursement team and the establishment and maintenance of good working relationship with payers, patients and co-workers as necessary to accomplish company/department goals and objectives.
* Oversees the accounts receivable process to ensure adherence to standards and performance to goals.
* Supervises staff, including interviewing, hiring, coaching, counseling, training and performance evaluations.
* Assists in setting budgets, establishing reserves, approving expenditures, monitoring bad debt and contractual allowances and departmental progress against financial goals.
* Manages subordinate managers who supervise several other employees in the business office and clinical departments. The number of subordinates will vary depending on the size of the branch.
REQUIREMENTS
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor degree, plus six to 10 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Healthcare billing and Management background
Ability to read and comprehend complex documents
Ability to write reports & correspondence
Mathematical skills with the ability to calculate amounts such as discounts,
percentages, proportions, etc.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra
Good problem solving skills
Knowledge of office management and procedures
Knowledge of medical terminology
