PATIENT FINANCE DOCUMENT IMAGING COORDINATOR
The LSU - Health Care Services Division (HCSD) is accepting résumés for the position of Patient Finance Document Imaging Coordinator with the HCSD Headquarters in Baton Rouge, LA. HCSD Headquarters is responsible for administering and supporting the 8 acute care public hospitals under its jurisdiction. Duties include but are not limited to: the establishment, control and maintenance of a standardized statewide automated Patient Financial Document Imaging System for the 8 acute care hospitals and the headquarters office. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring efficient and accurate document capture and electronic storage into patient folders through the use of computer output to laser disk storage and quality assurance monitoring. Incumbent will participate in the development and implementation of training programs and of policy and procedure related to the operations of the system. Requirements: a baccalaureate degree and 4 years of management or supervisory level experience in hospital and/or physician office document imaging system applications. A minimum of 1 year of the overall experience must have involved working with healthcare Information Technology, Patient Management or Patient Accounting Systems, preferably Siemens' applications. An additional 4 years of the experience specified above may substitute for the baccalaureate degree. Desired: 3 years of experience and a working knowledge within healthcare revenue cycle, and proficient and practiced computer skills to include Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel. Salary range: $ 40,000 - $65,000.
